I have a friend who is sensitive to mold, and there is some kind of mold situation going on at her job. I was wondering if a normal face mask from a drugstore for sick people will do anything to filter out mold spores? would she need a mask designed specifically for mold?
ps- i know wearing a face mask in an environment that is toxic to you is not the best plan of action, but she doesn't have any more sick days and they are working on the mold situation, so it is temporary. she kind of has to go to work but really really should not be inhaling the spores. she's already getting sick.Do normal facial masks for sick people work against mold spores?

It was avian flu before this, as well as west nile virus, foot and mouth disease, small pox, a resurgence of TB, mad cow disease, etc. Modern medicine is so potent now, I doubt we will see another pandemic. Even if we do, it'll affect the old, children, and adults with compromised immune systems. Healthy adults have little to fear about. Maybe in Mexico and other 3rd world countries with no advanced or accessible medical facilities there is cause for concern, but not here.

every once and a while i use this recipe. it brightens and tightens your face and leaves it super soft.
-just mash up one very ripe banana and a small amout of honey to make a pulp.
-apply this all over your face (you can use it on your hair too!)
leave on for about 10 minutes then use warm water and a washcloth to rinse
make sure you use the 3 mintues moisturizing rule though!

Okay, I will explain it in simple terms, then on a little more scientific level... thermals don't ';fog up'; on you like regular lenses do in extremities.
Here is why, while a regular lens is a single pane, a thermal is a double pane with a vacuum in the middle. If you remember high school physics, the rules about things like heat, amongst other things, change in a vacuum. The temperature on one side of the lens has no bearing on the temperature on the other (which will be closer to your body temp due to breathing and the simple release of body heat). I want to try to learn how to do this myself...I know I'll probably never be any good but I'd like to try...It would save us a lot of money in Halloween stuff in the long run. because my school has an annual winter ball and this year the theme is masquerade (which i LOVE!) so i want to find a real masquerade mask but i wanna be able to see what looks good on me BEFORE i buy it instead of buying online %26amp; having to send it back if it doesn't look good.

You don't say what type of skin you have! Oily, dry, combination, or normal? Just buy the mask for your skin type. It should say the skin it's meant for on the container! Body Shop has awesome stuff, as does Clinique, Avon, even some drug store brands, like Biore and Garnier, Olay, Ponds, to name a few. It depends also on your pocket book! Just be sure you get the one for your type of skin. I use Neutrogena Clear Pore cleanser/mask - it works well for my combo skin.
You can try Ginvera green tea hydrating white mask or Neutrogena fine fairness mask, these both works great when you want to hydrate and whiten your skin.

I love to make masks, and I am very good at it, but I can never make a mask that will fit my face. They are always flat! So what is the best clay that I can make a mask that will actually BE a mask. :)

look up how to make a mask using plaster bandages. I gave you one example link, but I am sure you can find more with google.
You aktually make a mold of your face, so it will fit. .
If you want, you can then use this mask as a mold (close up any holes you left for eyes or nose with plasticine or clay, coat inside with vaseline, mix up plaster and pour into mold and let set).
Then you have a replica of your face and if you make all your future mask based on this they will fit - the model of your face will support any material you are using until it is dry and stiff and able to support itself.What type of clay is best for making masks?

have some fin with a friend, prepare some paste( water and plane flour) and cut strips of news paper 1inch wide by 6inches long and let them paste them on your face till required thickness is required( don't block the nose) it may take a little time to harden enough to remove the mask,
once you have taken it of and let it harden, if you want to make more masks.
paint the inside of the mask with a light cote of oil( light cote) and pore plaster of Paris in to it let harden and remove from mold.
you can then make

try making your own, if not with clay try using an air dry clay like 'DAS' this can be painted and varnished and looks great when finished. if you want them made from clay , here's how . roll a piece of clay between 2 pieces of glad-bake paper then cover someones face with plastic, [oh%26amp;s here] a sheet not a bag, then lay the clay on the face alternatively coat the face with talcum powder, press the clay to form the shape , then carefully lay the piece to dry. support it with lots of paper and fire it to the temp on the packet.. if this is still beyond your budget then try making it with paper mac-he.
