Do normal facial masks for sick people work against mold spores?

I have a friend who is sensitive to mold, and there is some kind of mold situation going on at her job. I was wondering if a normal face mask from a drugstore for sick people will do anything to filter out mold spores? would she need a mask designed specifically for mold?








ps- i know wearing a face mask in an environment that is toxic to you is not the best plan of action, but she doesn't have any more sick days and they are working on the mold situation, so it is temporary. she kind of has to go to work but really really should not be inhaling the spores. she's already getting sick.Do normal facial masks for sick people work against mold spores?

Get a N-95 respirator instead. This is better at filtering the tiny mold spores than the normal face mask.
