Does anyone remember this movie from the 90's where men take over a school wearing animal character masks?

I've been trying to remember this movie for sometime now. I was a kid when it first came out. I remember that they held the kids and the teachers captive for sometime until they escaped through the mountains and eventually turned around and sabotaged them.Does anyone remember this movie from the 90's where men take over a school wearing animal character masks?
