I have serious trouble sleeping i am even starting to think that i suffer from insomnia and i need any tips that i can get to fall asleep fast. Serious answers would be appreciated!Do sleeping masks actually help you to fall asleep? If not are there any tricks you use to help you sleep?
There is this sleeping pillow mist spray and this bubble bath stuff, and it works great!

It relaxes you to sleep, expecially the bubble bath stuff :)

It was proven from a doctor, and it works wonders!

I reccomend it a lot :)

But if you dont have the money right now to buy that, I suggest other things.

1. a Hot bath+the bubble dream bath stuff above

2. drink some warm milk

3. Lay down in bed blank out your mind, and say ';I need to sleep';

4. Play some soft slow music (a low volume)

5. Meditate

6. They have sleeping tapes where a man or a woman they talk, and it puts you to sleep! I tried it once, it freaked me out, I was sleeping like a baby afterwards.

Thats all that I know by mind hun, those things i've tried and it helped me!

And also to get back on track, I reccomend this, but dont expect to pull through..

Stay up all day and all night, and go to bed the next day around 8:00 pm, and you should wake up real early the next day adn feel refreshed. Thats what I do all the time, and it helps me get back into sleeping right. Although its hard, and tiring, just pull through!

Good luck hun!Do sleeping masks actually help you to fall asleep? If not are there any tricks you use to help you sleep?
Try a ';No sugar or caffeine 4 hours before you go to bed'; rule. I used to have trouble falling asleep and once I did that it helped a lot. I stopped tossing and turning as much. Stopped waking up and being wide awake after two or three hours of sleep, etc.
I don't drink caffeine after 7:00, and I make sure that I do something that allows my brain to not work as hard - instead of watching TV or reading right up until I go to bed, I'll do the dishes or clean the bathroom about a half hour beforehand.

I think having a routine helps too. After relaxing, I put on my pajamas, brush and floss, take out my contacts, and get into my bed.

I wear a sleep mask because my room doesn't get dark enough, and I use ear plugs because my pipes bang and my neighbors watch TV late at night. I think both of these things are really helpful. I've been thinking about getting a white noise machine/CD but I haven't tried one yet - in the summer I sleep with my window open and that works just as well.

You could also try herbal teas designed to help you fall asleep. You can find them at health food stores and most grocery stores - just make sure it's decaffeinated!
Try to pay attention to your sleep hygiene:

- Avoid caffeine.

- Working late.

- Too much stimuli before bedtime.

- Sleep and wake at the same time everyday.

- Try meditation/progressive relaxation before sleep

For me, stress and too many thoughts keep me awake. So, I have to actually make a conscience effort to relax my body and clear my thoughts. For a long time, I had a REALLY hard time falling asleep-getting on a decent schedule of going to bed and waking up at the same time helped a lot. It does take some time though to get your body back on schedule. Good Luck! I know how hard it is to try and fall asleep!!!
Before sleep

1. turn all the light softer (make the environment surrounding you darker). Your body will generate something that will make you sleep in the darker environment.

2. Don't watch movie or read books that make you excited or keep thinking.

3. play some sentimental music to prepare yourself for sleeping.

4. DON'T rely on medicine. You will get addicted.

5. Drink warm milk before sleep (but not affect to everyone).
